In her 1908 poem to Australia, I Love a Sunburnt Country, Dorothea Mackellar spoke eloquently of droughts, flooding rains, far horizons, the beauty and the terror. And none are more familiar with that beauty and terror than our farmers, which is why The Last Promise is my way of giving to Rural Aid, the farmers and the families that they support.
I'm pleased to support my official partner, Rural Aid, and their Farm Army platform, which organises volunteers ready to help our mates in the bush.
When you buy a copy of The Last Promise, a portion of all sales goes to Rural Aid. Thanks to many generous purchasers, including those big-hearted South West Queenslanders out as far as Quilpie, I've now made six donations since 17th April 2023 when the book was launched, assisting Rural Aid in their ongoing programs.
