A Good Collaborator Is
It’s only a couple of days from the launch of my first novel. The Last Promise has been in the works for quite some time. When it was seriously taken up again in late 2017, little did I know I’d be back in Brisbane to launch it after a decade in Sydney.
Editing the manuscript and engaging others trusted to assist in bringing their own capacities to this serious business, brought both an enlightening and fulfilling period to the journey of its creation. Right up to the line where paper meets the flow of the printer’s ink, good collaborators in the finishing stage are invaluable.
I’ve enjoyed the support of several people along the way, but where the launch is concerned—beyond their editing prowess—my dear friend, Jacqueline Cook—herself a published author—has put together what promises to be an impressive and engaging event, and film producer Meredith Garlick is set to host the event with her inimitable aplomb and cheeriness.
My deep appreciation to them both.
A good collaborator is...priceless.
